SUMMARY:World of Work
DESCRIPTION:This two-day event will welcome more than 5\,000 Winston-Salem/Forsyth County 8th and 10th graders to explore career possibilities across a variety of industries. Students will have the opportunity to interact with businesses and educational institutions to learn more about the careers that interest them and how to get there.Students will work their way through six “worlds” including Aviation/Aerospace\, Advanced Manufacturing\, Construction\, Technology\, Healthcare & Life Sciences and Business Services. Business booths are free\, and companies are encouraged to make their booths as interactive as possible. Lunch will be available to participating business representatives on both days of the event. DESCRIPTION:What: Tabling event for employers to meet students in a high-traffic area on Forsyth Tech’s main campus \n\n\n\nDate: Each Wednesday of the Fall & Spring semesters\, beginning August 28th \n\n\n\nTime: 10 AM – 2 PM \n\n\n\nLocation: Robert L. Strickland Center lobby \n\n\n\nParticipation Fee: $25 per visit (two visits maximum per semester).  This fee will be used to buy snacks for the students\, encouraging their attendance and making the event more enjoyable for everyone. \n\n\n\nTo reserve your spot(s) for Workforce Wednesdays\, please visit Career Hub by Symplicity. Spaces are limited to 6 employers each Wednesday\, so we encourage you to secure your spot(s) early. \n\n\n\nAdditionally\, we ask that you provide as much detail as possible about your company and current job openings in your registration.
