Through our Forsyth Works programming\, Greater Winston-Salem Inc. is launching the Career-Ready Credential. This 10-hour certification combines online learning modules with a half-day of in-person programming to complete the certification. The first cohort launches on August 3. This designation helps your organization attract top talent\, boost retention\, and enhance your reputation as a great place to work in Forsyth County. \n\n\n\nThe 8-hour employer certification includes 5 modules to support employers in strengthening their workforce\, enhancing recruitment and retention efforts\, fostering an inclusive workplace culture\, and ensuring compliance with evolving employment standards. \n\n\n\nParticipating employers will hear from local subject-matter experts on topics including workforce access and opportunity\, employment policies and the employee experience\, organizational engagement and networking\, AI in talent acquisition\, and more. \n\n\n\nEmployers who complete the seminar will earn the Forsyth Works Employer of Choice Credential\, including a digital badge through Credly\, that can be displayed on company websites\, social media\, email signatures\, and more. \n\n\n\nLunch will be provided. SUMMARY:World of Work and Community Career Fair
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the World of Work presented by Forsyth County! This event will welcome all Winston-Salem/Forsyth County 10th graders to explore career possibilities across a variety of industries. Students will work their way through six “worlds” including Aviation/Aerospace\, Advanced Manufacturing\, Construction\, Technology\, Healthcare & Life Sciences and Business Services\, extending them the opportunity to interact with businesses and educational institutions to learn more about the careers that interest them and how to get there. \n\n\n\n10th grader tours will be held from 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM. Independent and private schools in Forsyth County are invited to tour the event from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM. The day will conclude with a Community Career Fair from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM. Job seekers and community members are invited to learn more about job openings and career opportunities.Business booths are free\, and companies are encouraged to make their booths as interactive as possible.  \n\n\n\n\n\nSee Events Information
